Security

The Erin Mills Town Centre Security Department’s role is to ensure that every visitor to our Shopping Centre has a safe and enjoyable shopping experience. The Security Department is responsible for all aspects of safety and security on the property. By patrolling and monitoring all areas of the shopping centre, the Erin Mills Town Centre Security Team strives to ensure that all visitors abide by the property's posted conduct policy.

The Erin Mills Town Centre Security Department employees 15 uniformed staff members. The department is managed by a Security Manager and two supervisors.

Members of our Security Department are provided with training on life safety practices and full First Aid and CPR protocols. The property has two automated external defibrillator devices (A.E.D.’s) on site; located conveniently in the Security Office and at Guest Services. Erin Mills Town Centre staff receive annual training on this potentially life- saving device and its operation.

Security coverage at the shopping centre is scheduled on a 24 hour-a-day basis, 365 days-a-year.

Vehicle patrols of the exterior areas of the shopping centre are conducted year-round by a clearly marked security vehicle. This vehicle is equipped with a highly visible light bar, a full medical trauma kit, oxygen tank, battery boost pack and other safety and emergency response supplies.

Our Security Office has an exterior entry and is located on the North West wall of the “C” parking lot (near Scotia Bank). Our Security reception is manned by a Security dispatch officer who is responsible for monitoring the shopping centre's C.C.T.V. camera system, receiving all incoming telephone calls, dispatching Security to all calls for customer or tenant assistance.

Automobile Aid Services

The Erin Mills Security patrols the exterior parking areas of the property year-round in a clearly marked Security vehicle. This vehicle is equipped with a highly visible light bar and directional control panel, a full medical trauma kit, oxygen tank, battery boost pack and other safety and emergency response supplies.

Building Conduct Policy

Erin Mills Town Centre welcomes you to the property.

To ensure we provide everyone with a safe and enjoyable environment, Building Management asks that you take a moment to become familiar with our building conduct policy. Any violation of this policy may result in the offender being requested to leave the property immediately. Thank you for your anticipated co-operation.

Smoking

Erin Mills Town Centre is pleased to offer you a smoke-free environment in compliance with all Provincial legislation and Municipal by-laws. Smoking areas are located away from all building entrances and/or canopies.

Restricted Areas

It is strictly prohibited to be in any restricted areas (such as back corridors or storage areas) without building management’s permission.

Distributing Literature

Handing out printed literature and/or soliciting of any kind while on building property is strictly prohibited. Exception to this only applies to those parties who have received prior approval from building management.

Vehicles

Leaving vehicles on building property outside of usual business hours, is prohibited without prior building management permission.

Eating and Rest Areas

These areas are for the benefit of all patrons. Please refrain from over extended use of the food court tables and patron seating areas.

Loitering

Unauthorized loitering or congregating in large groups that may impede others is prohibited.

Audio & Video Equipment

Personal entertainment devices may only be operated at acceptable volume levels. Taking photos or video while on property is not permitted without prior approval of building management.

Appropriate Attire

Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times (by order of the Peel Region Health Department). Wearing clothing or other attire which may be considered objectionable or constitutes a disguise and/or is intended to conceal an individual’s identity, including the wearing of gang affiliated colours, bandanas, or sweatshirt hoods is not permitted on building property.

Building Deliveries

All deliveries must be conducted through designated building loading areas only. All building deliveries must be conducted in a safe and reasonable manner.

Personal Mobility Devices

To ensure the safety of all patrons, all motorized wheelchairs, medical scooters or other personal mobility devices must be operated at a speed consistent with pedestrian traffic.

Service Animals & Guide Dogs Are Permitted

With the exception of service animals or guide dogs, pets are prohibited from entering the building.

ANY other offence that violates Federal, Provincial or Municipal law or by-laws is prohibited.
